1999 T3 Technologies was first organized in July of 1999 with the goal of providing small business a means of accessing high level IT support at affordable rates. We began operations under the name Outsource IfS. In 1999 the acronyms IT (Information Technologies ) and IS (Information Services) were used synonymously and more people understood the meaning of IS over IT. But the IT acronym eventually won out with the general public, so we changed our name accordingly. 2000 One of our first primary accounts was Bexar Diagnostic Specialty Group. This was a group of about twelve physicians who had joined together to offer a wide variety of specialty services. They had been using IBM services and several separate small hardware and software vendors to provide the services peripheral to their IBM mainframe foundation. We were able to help Bexar Diagnostic eliminate several technical barriers and as a result they soon oursourced all their IT engineering and support to us. 2001 About a year later the group disbursed and most went on to form individual practices. So suddenly instead of supporting one medium sized medical account, we found ourselves with several small medical accounts. This was a fortunate evolution for T3 Technologies as we soon began to recognize the fact that even though each of these specialty practices were fundamentally different, their business processes were all very similar. Each time we helped one physician by applying technology to improve productivity or to save money, we learned more about the business of healthcare. We learned about the unique challenges of the business of healthcare and we became conversant with its business processes. 2002-2003 While this evolution was happening inside T3 Technologies, the healthcare industry was undergoing significant evolution with the mandates imposed by the Healthcare Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). HIPAA changed the way all medical professionals manage their patients' information. Almost all of the rules imposed within HIPAA relate in some way to their electronic information systems. So by necessity HIPAA compliance as it related to the medical community's information systems became central to our business as well. We spent a majority of our engineering and consultation efforts on helping our clients prepare for and implement HIPAA compliance. 2004-2005 No industry was affected more by HIPAA than the medical software industry. Many legacy software providers sold-off or closed their doors in the face of the having to rebuild their old practice management (PM) systems to meet the new security standards of HIPAA. At the same time dozens of small developers were rushing to market to fill the void. Often these start-ups were ill- prepared and undercapitalized. The electronic medical record (EMR) / PM software became the latest race for cash among software developers. The early 2000's were teaming with software snake-oil salesmen promising to cure all the data ailments of the modern physician. A large number of immature products made their splash in the market and quickly sank from sight. It was a difficult and confusing time for medical professionals who were trying to find the best solution for their business. The fear of aligning oneself with a software vendor who would not survive the cut was real and looming. Many medical professionals who were early adopters of EMR / EHR technology were left holding the bag. During this time, T3 Technologies helped our clients by applying our technical knowledge and our knowledge of the business of healthcare. We reviewed scores of product offerings and further educated ourselves as to the state of the technology. We established our own technical criteria for evaluating products. As T3 Technologies represented several potential customers for the software vendors, we were offered all manner of finders fees and reseller incentives. However, we made the decision to not enter into any business relationship with any vendor in order to remain completely unbiased in our recommendations to our clients. 2006 - 2007 While we still don't sell software or act as agents for any vendor, we have identified several offerings and reputable companies which effectively meet differing needs of our clients We currently support over twenty electronic medical record and practice management systems. We spent the major part of our effort during this time engineering and implementing these offerings within our clients network environments. 2008 We made a concerted effort this to focus on helping our clients secure against the increasingly sophistication security threats. We began utilizing best known practices to actively scan our clients networks from the inside and the outside in order to identify any security weaknesses which could be exploited. We also training our customers to become more effective in avoiding the more spohisicated methods being employed by mal-ware and phishing artists. 2009 Last year was a record growth year for T3 Technologies in spite of the economic downturn. We implemented new managed service offerings to help us monitor and maintain our clients' neworks. We also implemented a very effective issue reporting / managment system. This system helps our clients to more easily communicate their needs to us and provides for a very effective method of communicating with us. We also became a Dell Gold Partner which allows us to purchase from Dell at deep discounts which we pass on to our clients. 2010 The healthcare community faces looming uncertanties associated with the national healthcare debate. Regardless of the outcome of the healthcare reform debate, we intend to continue to do all we can to keep or clients be as efficient and productive as possible through the proper implementation and maintenance of the their IT systems. We will be expanding our managed services offerings and furthering our monitoring and managment capabilities throughout the year.
